There is a modder (Switch_Designs) Direct link to his works that has been modifying GTA files for years.
He is in need of assistance. He has a bit of a family these days and wants to Participate in the latest edition of gta on pc and put in his efforts to Modifying grand theft auto iv.

I hope you people like his works and help him out, chances are if you are cool with him, he will do a small request... not a whole city or nothing, but something for just you... and everyone who downloads his stuff.

How to order cable / Satellite

Call Comcast and request your cable to vbe installed. They will give you a “Time frame Window” .

As soon as they state their little window of 6 hours that you are supposed to stay home from work to accomodate this company who makes you feel as if you have no alternative. Don’t bother requesting anything or asking any questions, they will belittle you and let you know they are very busy. Just before they get the chance to build up the steam and read the last line or recite the last line of their typical ” how to end a call” Rule book. Say with excitement ” Awesome that works out fine, I also ordered Direct Tv to arrive that same day, My friends and I have a bet which one will come and install first, I am betting on direct tv and from the huge time frame you gave me, I am gonna win the $200 bet, Well which ever shows up first is the one I am gonna use”.

Direct tv takes for ever, but do your best to schedual the same day.. which ever one shows up last, tell them it must have been a prank call. If you get lucky, you get direct tv and Dsl. Dsl shouldnt exceed $30 a month and sometimes has greater bandwaidth than comcast, I mean comcast shows cool stats and specs when you do bandwidth tests, but in file transfer , they fall short of dsl. Earthlink is inexpensive and can find people to work with you.

Dsl has gotten really good in the past few years.. If you are in the right area.

I have been very busy with my social sites.
I will index them all in google and yahoo very soon. When I am done after I get a few people on each of them and get a few complaints and requests so
I can tweak the site. The launches will all be at the same time. So yeah I will get very drunk and and celebrate my efforts on that day.

See the kids have gotten lazy and so Rockstar does not realize they are out there. There used to be hordes and groups of people actually trying to find the next clue and or how to compile the frickin’ game themselves. But from what I see, Rockstar Games does not see that the kids need to hear the company say “hey stupid, we play a game of find the crap before we release to PC first… yes, every time!” It makes us drool before we get the game. It makes us prove we are the smartest of the gaming world.

The game is coming and we can see it in April from what I suspect and see. That puts us right on schedule for what it wanted in the first place, but a year later due to the hold of the 360 version and Sony arguement.

Yes, Grand Theft Auto is meant for the PC.

In what might be one of the biggest cheat purges ever, Blizzard today closed 282,000 Battle.net accounts associated with game hacks and illicit programs. "In keeping with our aggressive stance against cheating," said a post on Battle.net, "we have permanently closed 263,000 StarCraft accounts and 19,000 Warcraft III accounts."

In addition, Blizzard permanently banned 1,100 Warcraft III CD keys used with the shuttered accounts and forbade another 8,000 from ladder play for one month. "Repeat offenders risk having their CD keys disabled, which will result in the permanent removal of their copies of StarCraft or Warcraft III from Battle.net," said Blizzard, which also issued a stark warning to would-be cheats: "We will continue to monitor Battle.net for cheating and take action as needed."

Blizzard's actions are the latest in an ongoing anticheat offensive by developers of online games. At the end of January, DICE included Punkbuster anticheating software in the v1.6.19 patch for its ultrapopular online WWII shooter Battlefield 1942.

Domain name Hell

After getting a bill for an automatic update to my domain and storage. Well I freaked out and started to cancel. then I remembered that my affiliate settings are signed up through that domain name. I decided that it would be best if just transfer my domain name over to my pow web account.. well when I called the 1800 number to get the refund, "Rodney" (clearly not his name) Some guy I am assuming is somewhere in the middle east answered the phone. Hey I am cool with anyone at all times. but for god sakes what are saying?. I was so excited I got my refund and all I just hung up the phone.. Well "Rodney" closed my account intirely. I still have 4 months left on the storage and a year and a half left on the domain name. Well I call again, this time "joey" answered the phone.. Um this dude sounded just like Rodney..

Well I get go through a huge hokey pokey and finally I get my website signed up to my new host.

Custom built computer (Jewel box Project)

Today I was Clicking around in the G4 forums. You know , Looking for game news.

Well I stumbled upon a thread that caught my eye . They guy seems to have built a

Complete custom pc case with the idea of it looking like a Jewel Box. Look at the way he navigates the air through that thing. and the heatsinks he has all over everything. I mean the video card has the same heatsink as the processor. Amazing.

He has this thing designed to a T. Except two things. The second platform has no front support, and the build just looks kind of retro ugly. But the way it looks does not mean squat. I am 100% for the cooling it has.

How does one get traffic to their forum?

Man I spent 2 days setting up m forum and chatroom. I have done all i can to get traffic to them and I do get traffic, but none fricken signs up. They just show up and look around and then bail. It's like they don't want to be the only person posting on a vacant forum. But man, someone has to be the first to go there and post. I am tempted to make fake accounts. but I can't see how to make posts and not feel like a dillweed.

Heck the forum is the same age as the chatroom. One month. There is no irc relation at all. My site hosts the full weight of the bandwidth. Heck I have tons of bandwidth and tons of storage . I started a contest and posted the link while trying to not be spammy.

How in the hell do I get people to post ?

What killed Tech Evolution

Ok I understand that if someone wants to sell their work.

They want to be the only person making money on it. And they do not want people to be able to get the software for free. I mean why buy the cow.....

But have you noticed, no one does anything anymore.

Everyone is scared of getting arrested for tweaking files and programs. I mean the past ten years have been amazing in software development. Now it's just down to a trickle. We aren't moving faster and faster every time we check, anymore. Those days are gone. Kids now are scared to mod psp software because those who do and show others, get silenced fast.

i mean the most I learned was when I was wanting to make my purchased items better. Like over clocking, there are no over clocking forums left but one or two . I mean back when everyone was tweaking and modding their Xbox, we where learning so much from each other. We where passing notes and moving faster and faster. People emulated machines. Sony killed that when they created psp addons and called them "Emulators" . If you did any searches on the net for "emulator tips" you would find stupid junk that showed you how to change your back ground on your psp. I mean they did that very well I have to give them props. But my god, if it wasn't for people modding the psp... Sony would have no idea what firmware to add to the stupid battery chugger.

So now you just have to sit around and wait on sony to tell you what's good.

We are getting dumber by the minute. Don't bother asking any kids these days how to play a 360 game on a computer. They flip out and tell you you need a decompresser... blah blah blah.. It's software.

"Encoded" means YOU think it's unbreakable.

Where is the crowd of people who inspired others to get upset with the useless crap bundled in our gadgets?

What happened to everyone? I feel like it's becoming a TiVo/Apple world. Where everyone just sits with their mouth open waiting to be given what ever there is to fill it.. And we like it.

Was it laziness? Did the really tech gen just get old and walk away?

Am I a dinosaur? Did everyone stop caring what it is inside their gadget that rattles when you shake it?

Is the new generation the fat gen?

Ps: I am not saying you should trade other people's work. but share the mods you make to those works.

Take Two makes it clear why they will not go pc version gtaIV

I was watching a youtube video about how some guy stumbled upon gtaIV offer on
take two interactive's website. Here it's fake and I could explain how simple and the 500 ways you can fake it, but hey if you are dumb enough to believe it (after what i have to show you) then hey , you will not understand me.

ok while watching the address to the links he was clicking, and since it was blurry and all i had to go through and click all of the same links to bring me to page that did not exist. it lead me to the lawsuit they received for the last game they put out for pc.
it seems Rockstar and take two will not be participating in the whole (edit my stuff) game anymore.

I protest Gas Prices!

We have oil companies Soaking us up.

We pay out every hole in our body to pay $3.5 a gallon because what ever excuse the oil companies can come up with meanwhile the oil executives claim major profits. they tell us they are hurting and that any changes in the human favor would cause them a loss.. yeah a loss of what ever they where greedily gaining.

Why are we accepting these excuses? why is this something we are just shrugging our shoulders about and saying”what can I do?”

The only choice is to buy out shares and make a profit also. but with the gas prices as they are we could only break closely to even. Anything over $1.85 a gallon is stupid .

The only thing I can think of is the same people who are selling you gasoline at 3.5 a gallon are the same people who sell you tiny bottles of water at $2 a little bottle. It’s your stupid health trends that are killing you. Don’t believe me? next time you buy a bottle of water in a gas station. Your stupid XXX will remember this.

30 dollars gets you 8 gallons of gas… enjoy.!

I like to listen to these in the background while I work. If I am out and about, I will listen
to the podcasts with my mp3 player. Most often I am not , so I listen on the computer I am assigned to at work while I do my stuff.
Not in order of favorites just the order in which I will play them regularly. Seems to fit the schedule of a regular day.

adware and malware removal help

We all have had infestations, pop ups that never go away, something that changes your home page, or something that redirects the site you type to a totally different site. Even worse than all that, when there is a combination of those problems.

Well, I have some good news and some help for you.

Next time, you might want to consider this stuff first before you even go anywhere on the internet.

For starters, I would begin stopping most malware from even connecting to the net from your computer, this step stops your computer from ever going to the sites where malware is created, uploaded, and/or updated. Fix your “hosts” file by going to MVP’s site and reading up on the subject. I actually just scroll down like 20 lines and he has a zipped file with 5 or so items in it. Extract the contents to the desktop, double click the batch file, and in a blink, I am Protected from tons of malware servers. http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm

Please read mvps site to get a full understanding and to be on the same page as me. Yes the hosts project started out as a way to block banner ads, but it was later found that you can do much more. PLEASE READ THE MVPS SITE.

Before installation of new “hosts” file, I head to my existing “hosts” file and open it with Notepad to see if there are any changes made to it that are located here “C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc”

There is a line that should say “127.0.0.1 localhost” which means local host is YOU. If it says anything other than 127.0.0.1, then your machine has been routed to someone else’s server and everything you do and type is being passed through them first. They filter through it and crack what they want. If you have anything different there, please post it here as a comment so I, and others, can help take care of someone like this.

Next, let’s go scan your machine. If you can, install this, “http://www.emsisoft.com/en/software/download/” and install a-squared Free 3.1

Run that program and remove anything and everything it finds. Let the scan finish before you start the next step. If both scanners try to remove the same files, it could cause problems.

Next, go get Spybot-Search and Destroy, you will find it here “http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html” spybot - Search & Destroy 1.5.2

Now, go get Ad-Aware “http://www.lavasoftusa.com/single/trialpay.php“

Run Ad-Aware after Spybot. The same rules apply.

You can join their forums “http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/forums.php” and get help from people who spend all day, every day just helping people decipher what HJT finds in it’s logs. They all will tell you what to keep and what to kill. They are an excellent group.

In most cases, you would have prevented this from ever happening if you would have started with MVP’s “hosts” file. That is a very good practice. Also, it would be wise prevention to not install anything and everything you find on the internet. First thing you must always do when you download anything is scan it with as many virus scanners as possible. I use Jotti’s site for the online single file scanner. It scans with like 20 different virus scanners at one time and shows you a real time results area at the bottom of the page. If you watch the scan result, you can see what scanners are worth a darn and what scanners are worth being cup holder….. AVG is garbage.. See for yourself. “http://virusscan.jotti.org/“ "

For the most part that should be quite helpful, if you need more attention than that.. Well go to the page and scroll down further and you will there is more info and stuff going on.

learn2 player

learn2 player is bundled with STRunner.exe. Both of these programs are bundled with aol nine. if you do an install of Aol 9 you will see it in the install list.
If you uninstall "learn2 player" you will see that the program strunner will also be uninstalled.
I have looked pretty deep into this and it seems tha this program could in theory be used as malware, but currently is not being used that way by anyone.
If you are not on Aol service it might be a good idea to free up resources and storage space by getting rid of this program. As of current it seems that "learn2 player" is useless to people who do not use aol service.
